During this time of uncertainty as we are dealing with the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic and sheltering in place, attending to your mental health is more important than ever. This situation can be overwhelming and can complicate things when you're already feeling anxious, stressed, or depressed. I offer Telehealth sessions online for individuals and couples. With online video sessions you can work with me to reduce your stress and live life to the fullest even under current living conditions. A quick phone call could be your first step toward feeling better.

Are you trying to walk on eggshells around your partner? Are you dealing with angry outbursts that seem to come from nowhere and are overly dramatic reactions to something small? Are you being blamed for everything? Are you being criticized for every little thing? -or- Do you find it impossible to control your temper? Are you mouthing off at your partner from out of the blue? Are circumstances outside of the relationship like loss of a job, unexpected house or car repairs, injuries, or illnesses driving you to be angry? Your life doesn’t have to be like this. There is hope.

People come to me to learn to manage their anger and to reduce depression and anxiety, whatever their source. I help couples learn to stop the cycle of constant arguing, fights, and hurt feelings. I teach couples how to communicate in a way that helps them to stay level-headed during disagreements, restore balance, and improve intimacy.
Additional thoughts
Often it’s hard to simmer down or to get your partner to simmer down. One of the biggest challenges is learning to talk reasonably to one another because when tempers or emotions are high you need to let things simmer down. Call or email me to discover how we can work together to simmer things down and restore balance.

Specialized populations
My training was at the Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley, CA where I worked with gay men experiencing depression, HIV/AIDS, anxiety, anger issues, and major life transitions.

From 2005-2018, I worked extensively with 18-25 year old homeless youth in a non-profit setting. For the last four plus years of that time, I was a Program Director and Clinical Supervisor for a housing program for 18-24 year old homeless youth.

I specialize in helping people who struggle with anger individually as well as in relationships. I work well with gay men struggling with out of control sexual behaviors. Also, I specialize in working with people who are struggling with sleeping disorders including insomnia and circadian rhythm disorders.
