I am Dr. Sam del Castillo founder of Alma Healing Psychological Care. I am a licensed psychologist. I am a queer and trans Mexican immigrant. I have specialized training in working with queer and trans folks for all sorts of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, relationship issues, identity exploration, gender, issues with embodiment (eating disorders, trauma, dissociation), and parents (both parents of LGBTQIA+ children and parents who are LGBTQIA+ themselves). I also specialize in working with folks who feel "othered" or who want to break patterns (intergenerational or their own). I utilize a cultural, trauma-informed, liberation, feminist, and anti-racist approach.
Values that underlie my approach are collaboration, trust, curiosity, openness, and self-determination.
