Background

Welcome
I offer counseling from the heart and mind, working together with you as the expert about your own feelings. I bring a non-judgmental, gender-affirmative, intersectional approach to our work together. I work from an attachment perspective and with a contextual awareness, where we consider all the structures that help and hinder you: family, society, relationships, whatever your important frameworks are. Our therapeutic relationship will form the base from which you can work through what is holding you back personally, or what is negatively affecting you each as members of a couple or poly group. Please visit my website for more details about who I am and how I work, at www.natashadistiller.com
Additional thoughts
I have a deep knowledge of and expertise in non-binary thinking, with a PhD in Gender Studies and many years experience teaching and writing in the field. I can help with many ways of being outside of a box, from exploring transgender and non-binary identities to coming out to redefining your sense of self. I also have an interest and experience in LGBTQ families and in parenting issues. I am currently working at Two Chairs Therapy Clinic in San Francisco.
