Professional Support Opportunities

  • Education – seminars, workshops, and consultations offered by members on such LGBTQ-related topics as homophobia, coming out, gay marriage, HIV/AIDS, alternative families, parenting, gender identity, S/M/B/D, as well as how anxiety and depression affect our community
  • Information Exchange and Consultation via our members-only email listserve and members-only forums on the Gaylesta website
  • Mentor/Mentee Project — by matching pairs of members, mentees can benefit from mentors' experience and support; mentors can help others develop their professional skills and achieve professional goals.
  • Quarterly newsletter with current topics

Networking

Meet colleagues, explore clinical questions, and expand your community of colleagues using our ListServ and online Forums.  Broaden and deepen those connections at our social, educational and fundraising events.

Marketing Opportunities

Market your practice by becoming a Referral member, which enables your profile to be found via our online, searchable Member Directory and list multiple offices.  Our Newsletter provides low-cost advertising, and an opportunity to write articles to make other colleagues aware of your areas of expertise.

Outreach

Support our community as a Gaylesta volunteer at street fairs, Pride, and community events.  You can also market your practice directly to potential clients at these events.

VOLUNTEER CREDIT

Each year, Gaylesta volunteers earn credit toward their membership accounts to help promote more active involvement. These credits can be used toward membership and events.
