Dr. Lisa Cohn is a licensed psychologist who specializes in work with the LGBTQ+ community. She sees individuals, couples and families and focuses on a wide range of concerns -- including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use and relationship issues. Dr. Cohn's work is informed by psychotherapy models that allow you to better understand your emotional and interpersonal life, in order to live more fully and authentically. Her treatment approach utilizes insight-oriented, mindfulness-based, relational perspectives and focuses both on current life stressors and on underlying patterns or conflicts that may be contributing to current difficulties. Her style is respectful of personal values, cultures and lifestyles and honors the vast diversity of the Bay Area. In addition to her private practice work, Dr. Cohn has extensive experience working in nonprofit, community-based settings and is a graduate level educator and clinical supervisor. Dr. Cohn's clinical specialties include gender & sexuality, trauma-informed treatment, and addiction & recovery.
