I am passionate about my work, and find it enormously gratifying. What could be more gratifying than facilitating and witnessing the transformation of individuals and their relationships, as they break free of dysfunctional core beliefs, patterns and behaviors, and develop deeper more satisfying levels of connection and intimacy with themselves and others.

From my perspective, therapy needs to fit the client. So depending on your needs, we may embark on a journey of deep self-discovery, or engage in brief solution-focused type therapy, or both.
Whatever your goals are, my approach emphasizes self empowerment as a resource and as an outcome.

I draw from a large toolbox of techniques and modalities including IFS, EMDR, Somatic, Jungian, and Transpersonal. My style is directive and participatory, so if you are wanting a therapist who "just listens", I am probably not the person for you.
Additional thoughts
I have extensive experience and specialize in the areas of Trauma, and Substance Use Disorders.
I work with both addicts and their families and have aided in the recovery of many addicts, (using both the abstinence and harm reduction models) and in the healing of their families and relationships.
I also consult on addiction.
