Background

Welcome
Welcome!
I work with all adults 18yrs. to older adults in individual and couples therapy. I have worked with a wide range of client populations, symptoms and issues. I have extensive experience in short-term therapy and am good at keeping the therapy focused on the task at hand once goals have been collaboratively set. I really enjoy getting to know the individual strengths and needs of each client and adapting my approach to be as effective as possible.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT). I am able to draw on a wide range of techniques and strategies including: Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Body/Movement techniques. Psychodynamic Therapy training informs all of the above.

Although I am a generalist, I am especially interested in LGBTQ issues. I enjoy working with lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender clients to help them on their path to feeling good about who they are, their bodies, and their sexuality.

I also speak Spanish and have years of experience working with the Latino Community. I take a humble approach to my work with other cultures and languages.
