Background

Welcome
Hi, and welcome to my page! I’m Dr. Jane Skoyen, a licensed clinical psychologist in California, New York, and Illinois. I am committed to providing culturally sensitive and affirmative care, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds and identities. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, and assist with life transitions, emotion regulation, stress reduction, and management of physical illness.

I use evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients reduce symptoms, maintain calm and presence, and increase quality of life. I strive to tailor these approaches to the unique experiences my clients bring, and neither ignore nor overemphasize any part of their identity.

My work focuses on building awareness of our internal processes and learning how to manage them in a healthy and productive way. I particularly enjoy working with clients who notice the connection between their mental and physical health and are interested in investigating this link further.
